Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Talent Leadership & Development
Recruits, develops, coaches, and retains a high performing and diverse team, including assistant managers, team leads, and associates. Fosters a culture of continuous learning, engagement, accountability, and performance excellence.
2. Customer & Donor Experience
Creates and sustains an environment that delivers exceptional service to internal customers (associates, peers, and other departments) and external customers (donors, shoppers, and community partners).
3. Sales & Financial Performance
Drives revenue growth, profitability, and expense control through effective management of sales, labor, and operating costs. Utilizes data, reporting, and business insights to inform decisions and achieve financial targets.
4. Inventory & Production Management
Manages inventory levels, production flow, and merchandise quality to ensure consistent product availability and maximize revenue generation on the sales floor.
5. Donations Operations
Ensures efficient intake, processing, and flow of donations while adhering to all safety, security, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
6. Operational Excellence & Reporting
Completes all bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting requirements accurately and on time, including time and attendance, production reports, sales reporting, and surveys.
7. Merchandising & Presentation Standards
Ensures all visual merchandising and sales floor presentation standards are executed consistently to drive customer engagement and sales.
8. Market Awareness & Competitive Positioning
Maintains awareness of local market trends and competition and proactively adjusts strategies to maintain and improve store performance.
9. Communication & Collaboration
Maintains clear, timely, and professional communication through email, phone, and in person interactions. Collaborates effectively across departments and with leadership.
10. Safety & Compliance
Maintains a safe and secure environment for employees and customers by enforcing all safety protocols, policies, and procedures consistently.
11. Policy Adherence & Organizational Values
Ensures compliance with all company policies, standards, and RISE values. Leads by example in ethical decision making and accountability.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibility for retail and production staff, including assistant managers, team leads, and associates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Proven track record of successful leadership and sound judgment in retail or a comparable service oriented environment (military experience may be considered).

2. High school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of management experience in retail or a similar environment.

3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English sufficient to perform job duties, including written reports and professional correspondence.

4. Proficiency in basic math and computer applications, including spreadsheets, POS systems, and timekeeping systems.

5. Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations for business purposes, with or without reasonable accommodation.

6. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a seven day retail operation.

7. Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve results.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

2. Fluency in a language other than English.
