The individual will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing all Goodwill of Greater Washington (GGW) and Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) print and digital marketing initiatives while ensuring consistency and integrity of the organization’s brand. This position uses creative thinking, concepts and visual strategies for marketing campaigns, organizational initiatives, and high-priority projects. The Graphic Designer must have a strong understanding and awareness of brand consistency in all outputs. The position also partners with leadership to translate marketing goals into compelling designs that enhance visibility, engagement, and impact. Graphic design duties involve effective design across print, digital, and interactive mediums. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain Goodwill of Greater Washington’s brand- aligned visual content and graphics.
2. Ensures consistent visual graphics and design integrity of GGWs marketing and communication channels.
3. Recommend creative approaches, design standards, best practices, and emerging trends to strengthen GGW brand presence and effectiveness.
4. Providing creative consultation and insight on all graphic design projects ensuring design solutions align with organizational goals.
5. Effectively and efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects, establishing timelines and ensuring timely delivery with minimal supervision.
6. Efficiently communicate and articulate ideas, strategies, and procedures to the marketing team and operational teams/stakeholders to translate strategic goals into visually compelling communications.
7. Independently navigates though design nuances across multiple platforms (digital, print, social, web, etc).
8. Produces high-quality marketing designs under tight project timelines.
9. Conducts independent research makes recommendations and implements the proper techniques for projects.
Graphic Design Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide print and digital design services for multiple internal GGW and GEC departments, and for external campaigns/ promotions.
2. Create and update print materials (flyers, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, advertisements, etc.), signs, and collateral.
3. Creating and designing informational graphics from text and data-based content.
4. Effectively communicate with and send print ready artwork to third party printers.
5. Create ADA compliant graphics, PDFs, and interfaces as needed.
6. Analyze, report, and use email campaign data to adjust and plan for future campaigns.
Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum of two years of graphic design experience.
2. College degree in related field or equivalent plus two to four years of email marketing experience.
3. Understanding of ADA website compliance standards and adherence.
4. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and a sense of urgency.
5. Experience with creating large format designs.
6. Understanding the difference in digital graphic output and graphics for print.
7. Strong design problem solving skills, and able to work under restrictions.
8. Strong understanding of layout, hierarchy, and contrast.
9. Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration and ability to work with external vendors.
Technical and Skill Qualifications:
1. Adobe Create Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
2. HTML & CSS (minimum skillset needed)
