Assist Goodwill of Greater Washington Team Members in the areas of crisis management, skill development and career planning. Develop and implement strategies to assist associates to RISE to their highest level of personal success. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize, and conduct private individual session(s) on an as needed basis to deliver workforce development services.
2. Perform assessments to identify needs, abilities, talents, and interests, in order to develop personal and professional goals.
3. Provide assistance to Team Members in developing individual employment and support plans and action plans and assist Team Members with career development.
4. Frequent and regular travel to store locations.
5. Refer Team Members to supportive services to include, but not limited to housing, food, financial, literacy, debt counseling, mental health, domestic violence, child care, etc. and provide concrete information such as where to go and how to apply.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members, reinforcing progress, interpreting assessment results, and facilitating the clear exchange of information.
2. Apply core coaching principles to foster strong interpersonal relationships, ensuring team members feel valued, included, and supported in decision-making processes.
3. Safeguard team members' rights by educating them and their supervisors, as requested, on job accommodations, assistive technology, adaptive work equipment, natural supports, and behavior management techniques.
4. Research and analyze occupational, educational, and economic data to guide team members in establishing and achieving vocational, educational, and personal goals.
5. Maintain accurate and objective electronic case notes that reflect the content and outcomes of interactions, focusing on the service plan for the team member. Notes must be entered into the case management system within 24 hours.
6. Provide ongoing support to team members until they reach their goals or opt to discontinue services.
7. Ensure up-to-date information (e.g., contact details) is maintained in the electronic case file database.
8. Assist in developing and delivering workshops for team members and managers to enhance workforce development and career advancement.
9. Engage in outreach activities to community-based organizations and social service agencies, including service presentations, meetings, and networking events, to increase program visibility and recruit participants.
10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to speak and write in both English and Spanish language (Bilingual Spanish / English)
2. Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, training and development, education, or related field, with one or more years of experience providing career coaching. Five or more years of related experience can substitute for the four-year degree.
3. Two or more years of direct related experience in providing life or career coaching to diverse populations.
4. Access to reliable transportation to deliver services, attend trainings, and meetings.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality of Team Members’ information.
6. Demonstrated skill and ability to apply life and career coaching theories and techniques in the delivery of services to diverse population.
7. Demonstrated skill and ability to establish and maintain a customer focus to ensure that the expectations of stakeholders (e.g., persons served, employers, referring agencies, etc.) are met.
8. Demonstrated skill in active listening.
9. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and thrive in changing conditions.
